As we start week 497 of our stay at home/quarantine/global pandemic situation/all this crap/whatever it is that you’re calling it in your world, I just want to give a few simple exercises that we can all do – in our limited space and time, or where ever it is that you find yourself these days.

In no particular order, here are a few things that I’m doing daily (at some point when I get to them or remember or just need to get out of my head!).

  • Doorway stretch
  • Child’s pose
  • 10 full squats
  • Windmilling my arms (like 10 forward and 10 back, maybe?)
  • Forward folding and touching my toes

These are super basic and simple, y’all. Even spending 3 breaths in each place is enough to change my energy and get my blood moving again – and it’s changed my outlook some days!

Not gonna lie to you here, I’m having a tough few days. I think many of us are in this boat – we have our good days, great days, and we have our tough days. I’m grateful for all of you and the things you teach me! So thank you! Simple, easy, quickly completed movements have been a game changer around here, so go do some of these and tell me how that worked, please!

Stay well, y’all! I miss you and I love you!

xoxox,

Dr. Jamie
